Since December 2, 2025, National Democratic Alliance\u2019s (NDA) representatives Ara Papian, David Grigorian, and Diana Banister (NDA\u2019s lobbyist in the United States) have been participating in the semi-annual forum of the International Democracy Union (IDU) in Washington, D.C.<\/strong><\/p>

Founded in 1983 by Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan, the IDU is a global political organization uniting center-right, national conservative, and Christian-democratic parties from around the world. It brings together more than 80 political parties, including the Republican Party of the US, the United Kingdom\u2019s Conservative Party, Germany\u2019s CDU\/CSU, (https:\/\/t.me\/NatDemAlliance\/15375) Israel\u2019s Likud, Japan\u2019s LDP, and other influential political parties.<\/p>

Within the framework of the conference, the NDP delegation held a series of productive discussions with high-level political leaders, experts, and media representatives. The discussions focused on current challenges to regional and global security, the growing threats to democracy in Armenia under the Pashinyan administration, the government\u2019s encroachments against the Armenian Apostolic Church, as well as ways to expand international cooperation among national democratic forces.<\/p>

These meetings enabled the NDP to present Armenia-centered positions, strengthen ties with partner organizations, and outline new opportunities for further cooperation. The work of the conference continues.<\/p>
