PRESS RELEASE

The Participation of the National Democratic Alliance in the Conference of the International Democracy Union

The International Democracy Union’s regular conference concluded on April 30, 2026, in Zagreb.

As previously reported, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) from Armenia was invited to this significant political forum.

NDA Council members Ara Papyan and Garegin Chugaszyan actively participated in the conference.

The International Democracy Union is an influential global political platform, founded in 1983 at the initiative of Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. It brings together the center-right, national-conservative, and Christian-democratic ideological parties from different countries of the world.

On the second day of the conference, the NDA delegation continued its meetings with political figures, opposition leaders, and representatives of business circles from different countries. These meetings provided an opportunity to present the NDA’s Armenia-centric political approaches, strengthen international ties, and outline new directions for future cooperation.

It should be recalled that the delegation of the National Democratic Alliance also participated in previous conferences of the International Democracy Union held in May 2025 in Brussels and in December of the same year in Washington.
