Tuesday, January 14, 2025: As communicated earlier, a delegation representing the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is presently in London for a series of high-level meetings with members of the UK Parliament (including the House of Lords and the House of Commons), the Executive branch, think tanks, and media.
The visit is organised by a leading Westminster-based public relations firm retained by NDA to help advance relations between the UK and Armenia. Funding for the arrangement has been provided by NDA supporters in the US and Asia.
The delegation, which included Amb. Ara Papian and Dr. David Grigorian kicked off the meetings on Monday, January 13, with a formal lunch at the prestigious East India Club. Participants included Sir Iain Duncan Smith, former leader of the UK’s Conservative Party, and several top executives of the largest news publications in the UK.
Dr. Grigorian and Amb. Papian discussed Russia’s continued control of Armenia; the current security challenges facing Armenia from Azerbaijan and its sponsors, Russia and Turkey; as well as the Pashinyan regime’s failures to pivot Armenia toward the West, deter the impending aggression, and reform the economy.
A lively and constructive question-and-answer session followed, where the participants delved into the details of Russia’s operations in Armenia and the role the Pashinyan government has played in the grand Russian plan.
The NDA delegation also held a meeting at the House of Commons, where the discussion focused on how Western countries can hedge their bets when it comes to Armenia and Pashinyan to, among other things, avoiding a Georgia-type scenario where the Ivanishvili government has helped Vladimir Putin solidify his control of Georgia despite its history of pro-Western rhetoric.
Meetings will continue.
