The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) wishes to wholeheartedly thank the Congressional Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission—especially its Co-Chairs, Congressman Chris Smith and Congressman Jim McGovern—for holding a hearing in the US House of Representatives to highlight the plight of Armenians of Artsakh.
NDA is proud to have worked with Congressman Smith and his office and played a pivotal role in helping make this important hearing a success. We want to give special thanks to The Livingston Group—whose Chairman, Bob Livingston, served in Congress with both Co-Chairs—for facilitating our efforts in this regard and for representing us in Washington.
We also wish to thank the panelists—Ambassador Sam Brownback, Michael Rubin, David Phillips, and Ambassador John Evans—for their unparalleled integrity and expertise.
Their insightful testimonies shed much-needed light on the atrocities committed by Aliyev regime against the Armenian population of Artsakh during and after the 2020 war and will become part of the official US record on the issue. The people of Artsakh deserve to live freely and safely in their ancestral homeland, which has been part of Armenia for millennia.
NDA remains committed to strengthening Armenian statehood with its activities both in Armenia and abroad and wishes to thank its worldwide membership and friends for their assistance to enable us to continue this vital work.
