PRESS STATEMENT

Consistent with our efforts to build stronger partnerships with leading Western countries and political movements, we are pleased to announce the successful completion of a working visit to London by David Grigorian during March 18-21. The visit took place against the backdrop of growing regional tensions, including the uncertainty surrounding the war in Ukraine, and public backlash against the defeatist policies of Pashinyan regime, which were the main topics discussed by Dr. Grigorian with his hosts.

The visit featured a series of candid and constructive discussions with high-level officials in the United Kingdom, including a former Deputy Prime Minister, current members of the House of Lords and the House of Commons, senior executives of a number of prominent British media organizations, think tank experts (including of the Chatham House and the Royal United Services Institute/RUSI), and other stakeholders. Dr. Grigorian and our British colleagues were hosted for dinner at the House of Lords and held private meetings in some of London’s most prestigious private clubs.

Despite the continued appeasement by the Pashinyan regime to the dictator in Baku, our British counterparts were reassured of the will of the people of Armenia to fight against external aggression and join forces against Russia’s growing global and regional ambitions. Dr. Grigorian and his counterparts also discussed a range of activities aimed at securing the continuity of our effort in London, including regular information exchange and policy discussions.

As in January, this working visit was facilitated by a prominent Westminster-based Public Relations group with strong ties with the UK establishment and media. We thank our colleagues for their tireless efforts to help us bring the problems facing Armenia and our people to the forefront of policy discussions in London and our Diaspora donors and grassroot supporters for making all of this work possible.
