On September 24,a multi-ethnic coalition of friends of the NDA held a fundraising dinner for Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. A high-ranking member of both Foreign Affairs and Judiciary Committees of the US Congress. Congressman Issa has been a consistent supporter of NDA’s vision for the US-Armenia relations and his office has worked closely with NDA through its lobbyist, Elias Gerasoulis of Moran Global Strategies.

If the Republican Party maintains control of the House of Representatives during the November elections, Congressman Issa will be among the top contenders to become the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in January.Attendees discussed the dire conditions in and around Armenia,including the possibility of another Azeri aggression late this year,as well as the need for Armenia to have a potent leadership to guide the country through the existential challenges faced in that volatile region.
